A Madras silver napkin ring


This napkin ring is decorated with Hindu gods. It is typical of South Indian colonial silverwork, and most particularly associated with the silversmiths of Madras. It is a beautiful example of hand chased andrepousséwork made from a thick gauge of solid silver.
