An Anglo-Indian Teak Octagonal Folding Table

Circa 1920
63 cm high – 60 cm top
Provenance: from the UK Art market

The present table is decorated with elaborately carved foliage and floral designs.

This type of table was made in India for the export at the beginning of the 20th century and some similar ones were commissioned by Liberty, London.

This is a fine example of Anglo-Indian furniture where the shape is Indian in style and the motif European.

The top is removable and the rest foldable for easy storage and transport.
